We are excited to announce new features that are now available in your Tyme Wear app! Tracking your breathing metrics and metabolic threshold targets during workouts is essential for improving your endurance, and we’ve made it easier to do just that
That's why we have added live breathing metrics and metabolic threshold targets, along with new analytics to better help you track your progress. We have also released a new Garmin data field where you can now display your live ventilation metrics.
Here’s a rundown of the new features…
Live Breathing Metrics:
Our app now includes real-time Minute Ventilation (VE), Breathing Rate (BR), and Tidal Volume (VT) metrics. You can use these metrics to track your breathing during workouts and adjust your training to optimize your performance.
Metabolic Threshold Targets:
Our app now includes live metabolic threshold targets for VT1, VT2, and VO2max during workouts which you can target with your live minute ventilation (VE). This feature will help you determine your optimal training intensity and adjust your workout accordingly.
We have added new analytics, including updated time spent in each training zone, the ability to toggle between time spent in zone relative to your VE or heart rate (HR), time spent in each zone over the past 30 days, and an updated view for your threshold test results.
Your specific training load is now improved and calculated based on VE.
Expect better stability when connecting and disconnecting from external sensors as well as auto-reconnecting when the connection to external sensors is disrupted during a workout.
Threshold Test Protocol Updates:
We have made updates to the default threshold test protocols: The standard treadmill protocol now starts at 3mph, progressing 0.5mph every 2 minutes. The standard bike trainer test now starts at 70W, progressing 20W every 3 minutes.
New Garmin App
Our Garmin Data Field is now available on most Garmin cycling computers and GPS watches. Search for “Tyme” in the Garmin App Store. Download the Getting Started guide for the Garmin Data Field.
