Breathing Sensor Help
This page provides guidance on identifying and resolving issues with the VitalPro breathing sensor.
This sensor is the core of Tymewear and it both independently records / saves activity data although activities need to be started / ended inside the Tymewear App or a connected device like Garmin.
Breathing Sensor pairing / connection in the Tymewear App
If the breathing sensor does not appear to connect:
• Check that the breathing sensor battery has power
• You need to wear the VitalPro for the breathing sensor to wake-up
• Retry connecting
If you have a fresh battery and does not appear to connect, please follow these steps:
• Turn off your phone bluetooth
• In "My Devices" (via Bluetooth icon), choose 'forget this strap'.
• Turn on the phone bluetooth
• Pair the breathing sensor (ensuring it is awake and has power).
The breathing sensor should be near to the phone. Retry if it does not connect the first time.
Breathing Sensor Garmin Connection
Check that you have the latest Garmin Connect IQ Tymewear App installed. This is currently version 2.0.04. Setup Garmin Watches. Setup Garmin Edge.
If the breathing sensor looses Garmin connect during an activity, check that you have installed the firmware version 0.91 (or higher).
Breathing Sensor Battery Drain
If the breathing sensor uses batteries faster that expected please follow these steps:
- Ensure that you have updated the breathing sensor to firmware 0.91 (or higher)
- After updating, remove the battery completely for minimum 1 hour (or overnight. This resets the breathing sensor and battery use will return to normal
Wearing the Breathing Sensor
The breathing sensor does not have to be positioned in the center of your back. If you are using an optional extension strap, the breathing sensor will be to one side.
Keep the position consistent and use the same notch each time when attaching (so it has the same tightness).
If you wear bib-knicks for cycling, wear the breathing sensor over the top of the braces (straps). This ensures that the braces do not interfere and impact the ventilation data. The heart rate monitor at the front can still be warn underneath the front braces

Breathing Sensor is connected but is not showing data
Make sure you are wearing the VitalPro. If you are in the Tymewear App - click on the + to start an activity. If you see the page to adjust the fit and see the line being shown and representing your breathing, this is a good sign.
Just allow a few more moment for the Breathing Rate to appear.
