Product Care

The VitalPro strap is rated IPX6 for water-resistant making it suitable for sweat and rainy circumstances. The VitalPro strap is not machine washable

To clean, we recommend removing the heart rate sensor. The breathing sensor is permanently attached so is not removed,

The breathing sensor parts can get wet however first ensure the battery cover is correctly closed. It is water-tight, but take care not to soak or wash too long.

Quick Wash
For a quick wash, the strap and optional extensions can be rinsed under cold, slow running water (from a tap).

Hygiene Wash

For more cleaning and hygiene, the strap and optional extensions can be hand washed in warm water. Do not use detergent. You can use gentle/mild disinfectant (that you would use on sports cloths).

Avoid chlorine, bleach or aggressive cleaning agents.
Do not leave the strap or breathing sensor part submerged for longer periods.

Drying
Hang out to dry but avoid leaving it exposed to direct sunlight for longer periods.

Dry Skin - Conductivity Tip
The heart rate sensor may not conduct as well when the skin is dry. A quick solution is wetting the rubber pads (that touch the skin). If you frequently experience heart rate connection / reliability issues then gel is available for heart rate monitor straps to aid conductive - it is safe, neutral and convenient.
